Derek joined CIEL Capital as an Associate in early 2022. In his role, Derek conducts research and valuation of target companies, along with financial analysis and deal execution.

Derek has 4 years Capital Markets and Wealth Management experience. Prior to joining CIEL, Derek was an Investment Banking Analyst at TD Securities where he worked in the Financial Institutions Group on various financing and mergers and acquisition transactions. Prior, Derek worked as an Associate within Private Investment Counsel at Scotia Wealth where he focused on business development and financial planning for High-Net-Worth Individuals.

Derek holds a Master of Finance degree from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
