David founded CIEL Capital in 2012 and provides oversight of investing activities and day to day operations.

Prior to CIEL, David was in Investment Banking with Sawaya Segalas in New York, a leading Consumer Products focused boutique Investment Bank. At Sawaya Segalas, he worked on various transaction, including financings, private company acquisitions, corporate carve outs and private equity transactions. Prior to his time in New York, David worked with a leading middle market private equity firm in Toronto. David began his career with KPMG in Toronto.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Davidson College in North Carolina and is a CFA Charterholder.
