Wayne Albo has been in corporate finance since 1975 and is one of Canada’s foremost experts in valuation and transaction pricing. Wayne has been involved in more than 400 successful transactions in mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings, business valuations and related matters.


Wayne has had significant experience in a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, real estate, retail, communications, food processing, mining, and power utilities. He co-founded the Campbell Valuation Group in 1976 and went on to found Calcap Corporate Finance in 1987 and became Chariman of CCC Investment Banking in 2007 and Chairman of CIEL Capital in 2013.


Wayne is the lead author of the authoritative text “The Purchase and Sale of Privately Held Businesses”. He is a Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.


Wayne served on the Accounting Standards Oversight Committee of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants for eight years. He has been a lecturer and columnist on business valuations and mergers and acquisitions, and appears as an expert witness in these matters. Wayne ranked first in Canada and in Manitoba in the Uniform Final Examinations for Chartered Accountants. He was also first in Canada in the Entrance Examination for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators. Wayne is a graduate of the University of Manitoba.
